Tiny Wins, Tiny Cheers: Celebrate Yourself Every Day

How to Stay Positive: Appreciate the Little Things (and Maybe Even Compliment Yourself!)

Hello everyone! Good morning, good afternoon, good evening! I am MMPP.key-_-bou.

I realized that while I often say, “Let’s stay positive!”, I haven’t really shared concrete ways to actually become more positive.

Honestly… most of the time, I just enjoy a drink and go, “Yum!”
But if you frame it as a reward for yourself—like dangling a carrot in front of a horse—it can actually have a small positive effect.

Of course, drinking too much can lead to negative outcomes, but if you enjoy it responsibly, it’s perfectly fine. And hey, sometimes it’s okay to let loose and have fun!
(Just make sure the people around you are aware and okay with it. Usually, they’ll let it slide at least once… probably… maybe…)

Anyway, let’s put alcohol aside for now.

The Main Point: Appreciate Small Things and Compliment Yourself!

Negative thoughts usually stem from negative emotions. So how can we cultivate positivity?

Gratitude and compliments are simple yet powerful tools—they create positive feelings.

Even ordinary things can be opportunities to say “thank you” or “well done!”

  • When you wake up: “Thanks for another day of life! Good job getting up this morning!”
  • If someone made breakfast for you: “Thank you! This is delicious!”
  • If you finish your meal: “Great job finishing your food!”
  • If you don’t finish everything: “Good job listening to your body and making the right choice for yourself!”

These small gestures not only make you feel good but also give you a sense of accomplishment. And don’t forget—you can do this for others as well.

Small actions add up. They’re easy ways to boost your mood and find joy in everyday life.

Of course, you don’t have to force gratitude or over-pamper yourself. Start with a comfortable level that works for you.

Gratitude can increase self-satisfaction and happiness, and it also helps you notice little moments of joy.

The beauty is, you’re in control. You decide whether to show gratitude or give compliments. And that choice itself can be empowering.

You may notice that people who constantly complain can bring the mood down, while those who naturally express gratitude and positivity can lift everyone around them. Maybe words really do have power after all.

Even if you tend to overthink or focus on negatives, try complimenting yourself for being thoughtful. Perfectionists might enjoy experimenting with these small steps and seeing how they accumulate into a bigger change.

No special skills or tools are needed. Anyone can start anytime.

The rule is simple: Appreciate even the smallest things, and if you can, give yourself a compliment!

A Bonus Tip: Pair Gratitude with a Small Gift

If you want to express your gratitude more concretely, giving a small token can make your appreciation even more effective. Here are a few examples:

  • Soap Flower Gift Box – Perfect for birthdays, Father’s/Mother’s Day, or just because
  • Kakitane Assorted Snacks – Great for sharing and gifting
  • NEKO-SAN Cookies – Cute cat-shaped cookies with a postcard
  • Mini Fruit Tea Sets – Fun and tasty for tea lovers
  • Special Drinks like Kanpachi Shochu or Louis Roederer Sparkling Wine – Unique and memorable gifts

Small gestures, whether verbal or tangible, go a long way in spreading positivity.

I Wish I Were a Cat: The Gentle Art of Living Light

I Wish I Were a Cat: The Gentle Art of Living Light

Ever wished life could feel more like a cat’s day? Bright, curious, calm, and just the right amount of lazy — here’s how to bring a little “cat energy” into your everyday life.

Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening!
I’m starting to believe that living brightly, happily, energetically — and just the right amount of lazily — might actually be the best way to live.
In other words… maybe I just want to live like a cat.

🐱 Do You Like Cats?

I do.
Not only because they’re cute, but because their way of life has something deeply wise about it.
If we humans could live more like cats, don’t you think life might be a little more peaceful — and a lot more fun?

☀️ 1. Brightness — Always Look Cheerful

Cats always seem to have that easygoing, content expression (even when they look sleepy).
If we could smile our way through the day like that —
even when things get rough —
we might find that life starts feeling a little lighter and a lot more enjoyable.

🎮 2. Playfulness — Stay Curious

Cats are endlessly curious. They find joy in the smallest things — a new box, a piece of string, or just a shadow on the wall.
 We can learn from that.

Try new things, dive into your hobbies, or explore something that sparks your curiosity.
Yes, it’s scary at times — but that mix of excitement and uncertainty? That’s where life happens.

⚡ 3. Energy — Keep Moving

Cats move with intention. They stretch, jump, run, nap, and repeat.
Staying active — both physically and mentally — helps us stay balanced and positive.
Even a short walk or a few deep breaths can shift your mood.
A healthy rhythm keeps the heart light and the mind clear.

💤 4. Relaxation — Master the Art of Doing Nothing

If cats had a motto, it would be: “Rest is also progress.”
They nap like it’s their full-time job — and maybe they’re onto something.

We all need to slow down sometimes.
Taking time to rest isn’t being lazy — it’s how we recharge the energy to keep shining.

🧘‍♂️ So, What Can We Learn from Cats?

To live brightly, joyfully, energetically — and yes, a little lazily.
I don’t even own a cat, and I’m not exactly obsessed with them…
but if I could live a bit more like one,
I think life would be a lot more fun.

Stay Chill, Stay Positive!

Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening, hello everyone!
Nice to meet you — I’m MMPP.key-_-bou, and I’ve just started this blog!

The official title is “Stay Positive, Just Way More Chill: My Guide to Easy Living” — but honestly… it’s really a blog about “I Wish I Were a Cat!” 🐾

My tired brain thinks the official title is way too long, so from now on, let’s just call it “Stay Chill, Stay Positive!”

I genuinely believe that if we live like cats — by staying positive, thinking things through, and then taking action — our days can be just as happy as a cat’s life.

This blog isn’t exactly about “life hacks,”
but more about sharing small things that help us live brightly, cheerfully, and with good vibes every day.

As for me — I’m a corporate warrior,
a middle manager armed only with a Cypress Stick and Cloth Armor,
constantly caught between the pressure from above and the push from below.

I also share some “work hacks” that might — maybe, possibly —
actually be useful in your job. (Let’s stay optimistic, right?)

If you can have even a little fun joining me on this journey,
I’ll be more than happy!
