Living Fully: Past, Future, and the Messy, Beautiful Now

— How I Try to Live Without Too Many Regrets

"I’d rather regret doing something than regret not doing it.
Well… not every time, but you get the idea.
Life feels better when we care about our past, our future, and our now."

The past—whatever happened, whatever we did or didn’t do—is already sealed.
The good, the bad, the embarrassing… all of it.
We can’t edit it like a bad selfie.
But maybe we can recycle it—turn those memories into something useful for the future.

So, what should we do right now?

  • Maybe take a short break.
  • Sit still.
  • Do absolutely nothing for a few minutes. (It’s surprisingly productive.)

Or, work hard—but sneak in a little time for yourself.
Do something you actually like.

Have a drink. 🍺
Laugh at your own joke (someone has to).
Then, when you’re ready, take a small step forward— with a smile and a bit of courage.

“Sachlich.”

Cool-headed, honest, and quietly hopeful.
